The staff was amazing. They were kind and thorough in their exam and treatment for my injured dog. They were able to get us in within two hours, when every other place I called was 8 hours to a week before we could get in to see a vet. I felt like their pricing was fair and their service was stellar.

We brought our Frankie Boy to Salem vet after a tragic event on Fourth of July weekend. The staff were very efficient and kept us informed during the whole process. In the middle of the night when we came to say goodbye with our two year-old asleep in the car, one of them offered to sit in the car with him so that myself, my husband, and our oldest daughter could say goodbye to Frankie as a family. The staff made me feel like not only were we losing Frankie, but they were losing him too. I am forever grateful for their kindness and care during one of the worst nights of our life. We miss our Frankie everyday.

Many thanks to the staff at Salem Veterinary Emergency Clinic for the excellent care our dog received on a Sunday morning. (Yes, we waited a bit to be seen, but you must remember this is a pet ER just like a human ER: a more serious emergency may take precedence over your pet! Be patient.) Everyone was professional and kind, and kept us regularly updated as they diagnosed and dealt with our dog’s unexpected medical condition. We are so very grateful our dog was effectively treated and is on the mend!

SVEC took great care of my boy, Larsson. He had a urinary blockage. They took him back right away. They unblocked him and kept him for a few days to ensure he could urinate on his own. They made sure to call twice a day to give me updates on how he was doing. All the staff was very nice, explained things clearly, and were patient with me while I figured out my finances. The cost is ridiculously expensive but that is to be expected from an emergency clinic. Another emergency vet said that I'd have to wait 8 hours. I'm so glad I was able to go to SVEC!
